Chocolate Cherry Protein Cake: Clean Eating Workout Snack ðŸ’

Chocolate protein goodness packed with the antioxidants and the super power of tart cherries 🍒 Tart cherries are reported to contain an antioxidant which is an anti-inflammatory and pain relief I remedy! They also contain melatonin, hello delicious sleep aid!

Sugar free, gluten free, high protein, low carb, paleo, grain free


1/2 cup almond meal

2 tbsp coconut flour

2 eggs

1 scoop chocolate protein powder (I used Pro-matrix wicked whey WPI)

1tsp baking powder (gluten free)

1/2tsp vanilla essence

Pinch of sea or Himalayan salt

2tbsp cacao or cocoa powder plus extra for dusting

1tbsp granulated stevia

2tbsp butter or coconut oil melted

1/2 cup of frozen cherries defrosted

1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius

2. Mix all dry ingredients together

3. Make a well in the middle and add eggs, butter (or oil), vanilla

4. Pour into a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 25-30 minutes

5. Once cooled, dust with cacao or cocoa powder and top with more cherries!
