Ohhhh Matcha š packed with antioxidants said to fight cancer, boost metabolism and improve skin health! It also contains L-Theanine which reduces stress and boosts memory and concentration. These protein bars are seriously yum without the sugar, gluten or grains. With the addition of organic natural vanilla protein powder, these are not only clean but a great workout snack! I use my favourite Pro-Matrix Wild WPI, how does something so clean taste sooo good!.
Base ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups raw nuts (I used almonds)
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (I use Pro-Matrix Wild WPI
- 1 cup dates
- 1 tbsp nut butter of choice
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional- 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of choice
- Process all ingredients except nuts in food processor or blender until combined
- add nuts and pulse until combined
- Press into a lined baking pan
- Refrigerate
Matcha Protein Topping
- 2 tsp Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 1 cup coconut butter
- 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder (again I use Pro-Matrix Wild WPI
- 1-2tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 2tbsp coconut oil
- 1tsp vanilla extract or essence
- Pinch of sea salt
- Optional-white chocolate for drizzling
- Sit jar of coconut butter in hot water for 5 minutes
- Mix all ingredients together and pour on base
- Drizzle on white chocolate
- Leave to firm in fridge, store over the week or in freezer for longer
